Before you build a website, here are five guidelines to make your website more successful!

1. Get Organized - Have a Plan!
Make a list of items that you would like on your website. i.e.. pages, photos, documents, logos, videos, etc.
Use an external hard drive or USB thumb drive with basically all your items. Keep your files, for your website, all in one place, so you can work on your website
from any computer. If you keep files on different computers, it will make it difficult to make changes without your files at the computer you are work on. The best thing is
that you  can work on your website from any computer that has the Internet, anywhere, anytime!  Make folders on your computer and external hard drives  such as (photos),
(videos), (graphics), (web documents), (misc.), etc.

2. Think of a domain name that you like and a simple name that others can easily remember!
When building a website with Weebly, you will need to make a web name for your website and it must have ".weebly.com" after the name you choose until you decide to
buy a web domain name with a  .com, .net, .org. .biz or any other listing and you will be able to drop the .weebly.com at that time. This will make it easier for others to
    remember your web name.

3. Use columns, deciders and make good use of your pages. It's a good idea not to have too many pages across your main website or "Home" page. Also, don't make too many
pages that are deep in content. Make good use of drop down "Sub Pages" that users can mouse over a certain page, then another page drops down with more content.

4. Make each page unique! Build banners called "Headers" that are exciting with custom content to each page. If your pages all look the same, the user may
not know they are on a new page. There are many ways to make your pages exciting and unique. Also, if you elect to purchase a "Pro" account, you will have more options
as well. A pro account allows you and others to download files, to your website, that are much larger in megabyte size, also you can add HD videos, make passwords to enter
pages, add audio and many other features. You also can add up to 10 pro websites, all under your own account.

5. Find other websites that you like and try to mimic their ideas and content. As you get better at building your new Weebly website, it will become more
powerful and useful to you and others that visit it. Keep things simple and also update your website as often as possible so visitors will want to come back again and again
    to visit it ... ENJOY!
